It is made of Ultra High Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. Its exclusive 1/4" (6.4 mm) neoprene o-ring and ABS latches seal perfectly and includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. The case is lined with die cut high-density foam for custom fitting. It features large handles and is equipped with wheels, for easy transportation. Made in the USA.

5Great.... But....
By Nothing but the Truth
Yep - The case is fantastic - but there is a 'but' to this. It is foam filled, so you are tasked with pulling the foam to fit your scope - Now, considering that this is essentially a Pelican case with Celestron branding (you can actually buy the same size under the Pelican brand and pay a lot less), I was assuming as I purchased it for my Nexstar 8 (sold as a 'case for Nexstar 8), that it would have at least came with molded foam or prepped for my scope (especially as it cost extra). So, considering that the extra you're paying is for a sticker of the front saying Celestron and that it isn't cut for your scope, I would recommend matching the size you need, and just buying the Pelican case and saving at least 50.00 to 75.00 dollars....

Arrived in great condition and worked perfectly for our needs. Had to cut out the foam to fit but otherwise it was great.

4Best case out there for Nexstar 8S#

This is a good case for the telescope. The only downside to it is you have to cut out the foam to fit your needs.
