4Excellent Service
By J. K. Singer
I purchased this item from Amazon, and while the telescope itself worked fine, the remote and motor did not work. Since I purchased it for the computerized motor, I was disappointed. I contacted Celestron and they accurately diagnosed it using the error codes on the remote. Their prompt, courteous and accurate response along with the efforts of Amazon to handle the exchange made it an excellent transaction in spite of initial disappointment. If you plan to use it for extended viewing, purchase the ac adapter, 8 AA batteries last 45 minutes. Don't forget the computer cables (2) to make it functional with the software.

2Know your purchase
By Karl Holder
This isn't necessarily a BAD telescope but there are things you should be aware of: first, if you want to view anything that is overhead you will be crawling in the dirt to see it. It is a much better idea to go with a different design in this regard. 2) Don't be fooled by the software this ships with, there is NO connection between this telescope (as is) and external hardware. I would highly recommend spending the very few extra bucks it takes for a better design.
